about the artist
Elijah LaSota (he/him) is a stained glass artist and, in his spare time, a resident physician in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics based in Miami, Florida.
He draws much of his inspiration from family and home. Elijah grew up in Patton, Pennsylvania, in a historic Victorian house filled with stained glass windows and handcrafted lamps created by his father, David. Through patience, encouragement, and technical guidance, David taught him not only how to work with glass, but how to create art with intention and meaning. His mother inspires him with her warmth, accepting nature, and positivity. His sister, an architect, designer, and artist, is his biggest supporter and best friend.
Elijah’s work often combines bold primary colors with mirror, black, and white glass. These contrasts reflect a central belief behind his art: that both the world and the people within it become more beautiful when authenticity is embraced and our true colors are allowed to shine.
For years, Elijah created pieces primarily for family and friends. More recently, he has begun sharing and selling select works to help offset the financial realities of medical residency training while continuing to support his creative practice. By sharing his work more broadly, he hopes others may find pieces that bring warmth, light, and meaning into their own spaces.
